Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a critical resource for industries, households, and energy systems across Central and South America. Its role in production and distribution is essential; however, its availability depends not only on supply, but on a key factor: safe, efficient, and reliable transportation.

Transporting LPG by road requires strict operational control and full compliance with applicable regulations at all times.

Why is semitrailer manufacturing critical for safety?

Transporting LPG involves handling a highly flammable and pressurized substance, which represents significant risks if not properly managed.

Any failure in design, material selection, or manufacturing processes can compromise not only operational performance, but also the safety of personnel and surrounding environments. For this reason, it is essential to partner with manufacturers that strictly comply with regional codes, standards, and inspection requirements.

17,000 gallons semitrailers with a custom engineered design

TATSA semitrailers are developed under a safety-driven approach, integrating high-performance materials and components designed to ensure safe and reliable transportation.

They are manufactured in accordance with the ASME Section VIII Division 1 code, using high-strength materials such as SA-612 for the heads and SA-517B for the shell.

The design includes a 3-axle configuration, air suspension, and super single tires, providing enhanced stability and control during transport. Operational safety is reinforced through systems such as Roll Stability Support (RSS), retractable axles with dual operating modes, and an automatic tire inflation system, contributing to safer and more efficient performance.

Additionally, a multi-layer coating system protects the equipment against corrosion and wear, ensuring long-term durability and consistent operation.

Ensure reliable operation with this pre-purchase inspection checklist:

☐ Nameplate properly installed, legible, and permanently attached to the vessel.
☐ Tank design pressure.
☐ Clearly visible year of manufacture.
☐ Applicable design code (ASME, DOT, ADR, NOM, etc.) — verify according to your country.
☐ Manufacturing certificates available.
☐ Valid and up-to-date hydrostatic test.
